Vortex Sparc 2 vs Strikefire 2 – How do they Compare?

One of the first differences that you will notice between both sights is their dimensions and size. The Strikefire optic is much larger. It is designed as an objective lens and the length measures 30mm. This length makes it easier for the hunter to mount a cantilever. The Sparc has a more compact design than the Strikefire optic. The length measures 3.1 inches and 1the height is 1.1 inches. It is designed as a micro-optic with the objective lens measuring 22mm long, meaning that it cannot support any kind of mounting system. Because of the larger dimensions of the Vortex Strikefire and its compatibility with a cantilever, it proves to be a better option than the Sparc 2.

The weight is an important factor that is considered by hunters. Both the Sparc and Strikefire optics are light in weight. When the Strikefire optic is not attached to a cantilever mount it weighs only 7.2 ounces. Vortex Sparc optic on the other hand weighs only 5.9 ounces. The Vortex Sparc 2 optic is much smaller and lighter and if you are interested in benefiting from a much lighter build, this optic is a better option than the StrikeFire 2.

When it comes to the reticles, the Vortex Sparc 2 only comes with one red dot option, while the Strikefire is designed with two different reticle options. With the Strikefire, hunters can make use of one of the single red dot options which are quite bright. The next option allows you to switch from the red to the green reticle.

If you are planning to use your scope in different types of situations, the extra reticle comes in handy. Hunters can switch between different reticles depending on the type of situation and background surface presented. The Sparc 2, however, does not provide you with a bright light.

There is also a great difference between the two scope sizes of the Vortex Sparc 2 and the Strikefire 2. The reticle size of the Sparc is quite small at 2 MOA. The Strikefire makes use of a 4 MOA which is much larger. The reticles can also be easily noticed. The quality of the bright light provided by the Strikefire 2 as well as the size of the reticle proves that it is a better option than the Sparc 2.
